I love the challenge Meeta's classes offer. It's physically demanding but also very physically and mentally rewarding. I leave feeling longer, stronger and calmer....and a little bit tired!
— Ros, Intermediate
I have attended Meeta’s Portswood class since March 2012. I was a complete novice and the most inflexible being imaginable. Through excellent instruction and persistence and perhaps a little pain my yoga has developed and my increasing mobility is a delight to me..

Meeta is the real deal. There are so many yoga teachers in the world these days, it's virtually impossible to find an authentic one. She embodies humility, kindness, love, spirituality, beauty, patience and wisdom.
... Yoga is now an integral part of my morning ritual. Meeta is the consummate teacher: pushing you to your limits but in the most nurturing way possible. As she herself says: Pain is just a sensation!
— Raakhi, Inexperienced yogi
My day is not complete if I haven't done yoga with Meeta! I've been practicing with her for 15 years now. Her voice has so much love and sincerity in it when she is giving instructions to her yogis.
... She never is disapproving but always gives you a very reassuring smile. I've done yoga with other teachers on holidays across India and elsewhere but it's never the same as Meeta!
— Usha, Experienced yogi
I love going to practice with Meeta. Her style is energetic and uncompromising, and helps you build strength and resilience in body and mind.
... There is extra opportunity to develop your practice with workshops and retreats, and she is a great cook so I highly recommend the workshops where we have dinner together afterwards. Come along, you'll quickly get hooked!
— Bethany, Yoga teacher
My yoga journey began in 2003 when I first met Meeta. Since then I’ve tried many different yoga classes and teachers but Meeta has something very unique and special.
... Her classes are like no other; you never know what you will get but somehow she intuitively knows just what I need. I’m also very happy to count Meeta as one of my good friends; she’s a special soul 🙏
— Kelly, Lifelong devotee to MeetaYoga
Meeta has taught me that "pain is a just a sensation." There is no point in cheating as I'm just cheating myself - and in any case Meeta will always catch me out! 🙄
Meeta and her classes have helped me to step away from the hustle-and-bustle of everyday life and find joy and contentment in the perfect present moment.
— David, tight-limbed sportsman
I have been doing Yoga for the last 10 years with so many different international teachers all over the world when I am travelling which I do every six weeks. To say the least I have never come across any teacher like Meeta. She is mind blowing and the way she teaches is out of this world.
— Kamu, Experienced yogi
I first joined Meeta’s yoga class in 2007 after being recommended by a friend. At this point, I was recovering from a critical illness and my friend thought that Meeta’s class would support me with the emotional recovery process. As a complete yoga novice I had no idea what to expect, but I actually found a kindred spirit, another sister, who taught me the benefits of not just physical exercise,
.. but spiritual development too. In Meeta’s class, she brings together individuals from all walks of life and nationalities and creates a harmonious group, we laugh together and cry together, especially when she tells us that “pain is only a sensation!” That aside, Meeta teaches with passion, warmth and tenderness. At the end of every class I feel uplifted and ready to tackle whatever the world is ready to throw at me.

Meetas classes are vibrant and Meeta is full of passion for the wonderful art of Yoga. Meeta teaches authentically from her heart and is a very confident and excellent teacher. I highly recommend her classes.
— Shelley, Yoga teacher
Meeta is a magician who can make you believe that anything is possible and you can achieve your goals through persistence & pain (which is only a sensation).
... Anyone who can get my body to twist & bend and me to stand on my head is very special. Believe me this lady is one hell of a yoga teacher.
— Adrian, Mis-shaped but trying yogi!
I did my first class with Meeta online on Zoom. It was an astonishing experience. She possesses incredible strength and authority on the flow of sequence and postures. This physically intense activity has helped me not just physically but also mentally....
... I feel like I am able to focus more deeply on all my day to day work and the real sense of pleasure and happiness that seems was buried somewhere inside me for a long time. Thank you, Meeta, this is an incredible experience.
— Hitesh, Yoga beginner
I first started practising Yoga with Meeta about 14 years ago following breast cancer. I started with one to one sessions , which I cannot recommend highly enough. Meeta was empathetic and caring and positive. The thing I loved was that she did not just talk the talk,
... but walked the walk and the spiritual side was just as important as the physical. All Meeta’s classes are challenging but really enjoyable and she is creative, they are never mundane or boring! Meeta always has time for the individual, even in busy classes. I cannot imagine my life without Yoga or Meeta.
— Lizzie, Experienced yogi
Coming to Meeta's yoga class isn't just a class for exercise but gives you a sense of belonging, a freshen up on your mindset and an opportunity to switch off from the busy culture we live in. My 60 minutes each week, gives me opportunity to relax, re-energise and set my core back to a neutral standpoint. Thank you Meeta for giving me these wonderful classes.
— Vickie, yogi since 2018
It really was my lucky day in January 2012 when I discovered Meeta's yoga classes. She is a truly gifted teacher and cares deeply about her yogis. Having said that, don't get the impression that she is soft on us, she knows us well and understands when we need pushing 'if your body allows' always giving us options...
... The thing that amazes me most about Meeta's classes is that no 2 are ever the same. Meeta is a spiritual person and this comes over in the deep stillness she can create - as well as taking you further than you would make yourself go physically. I am 64 and am certainly much more flexible than I was in my 50s. For this, I thank Meeta unreservedly.
— Glenda, Welsh yogi :)
I used to be an Experienced Yogi but due to circumstances gave up Yoga almost 35 years ago. This means that I need to build my practice from the beginning. I started training with Meeta's online classes 2 months ago and at that point every posture was a struggle from a forward bend to down dog was torture...
...However with 4 classes every week I am so happy with my progress. I can see my strength and flexibility improving daily to a point that I know very soon I will be able to do the splits. I enjoy the class flows, the technique of preparing and getting into each posture is really well planned and amazing.
